UzbekNeftGaz (UNG) is a stock corporation (or what others call it “joint stock company”, although the concept of ‘joint stock’ is not recognized by Uzbek laws). UNG is a National Holding Company with the meaning that the controlling stake in UNG belongs to Government and that UNG holds shares of other stock corporations in petroleum industry of Uzbekistan.

Aside from other regulations on securities and holding companies, UNG is mainly governed by JSC Law, not LLC law.
