Nature Preservation Act overview

The Act sets the main principles of nature preservation in Uzbekistan. It also sets the authority for the State Committee for Nature Preservation, which stands as the regulator and supervisor in the sphere of nature preservation.

Subsoil and minerals shall be used only in accordance with principles of 1) saving and complex use of minerals and associated aw materials, 2) environmental safety, 3) reclamation of lands, previously used for mineral extraction and 4) use of minerals only within their natural recovery cycle.
