Holding online video conferences and making VOIP calls in real time

Based on review of applicable Uzbek laws, provision of telecommunications services which includes the capacity of customers to hold online video conferences and make VOIP calls in real time is legally permissible in Uzbekistan. Provision of the above services is subject to a specific license. Advice is based on the analysis of relevant Uzbek laws as discussed below.

Resolution No. 222-II, Telecommunications Law and Resolution No. 458. are the basic legal documents governing licensing issues in the area of telecommunications and among other things, the use of online video conferencing and VOIP calls in real time.
