The Civil Code divides the property as an object of civil rights into two categories:
- real estate property (immovable property), which includes land and subsoil, perennial plantations, as well as buildings and constructions.
- movables, any property which does not fall within the notion of a real property.
Ownership rights, any other rights with respect to real estate property, accrual, transfer, restriction and cessation of such rights is subject to mandatory state registration.
