A foreign arbitral award is more likely to be recognized in Uzbekistan without re-trial on the merits than a foreign court judgment.
In accordance with laws of Uzbekistan, judgements of foreign courts and arbitrates shall be enforced in Uzbekistan in a manner provided by the legislation or in accordance with the international treaties in which Uzbekistan is a party. Uzbekistan is not a party to any multilateral or bilateral treaties with any of the Western jurisdictions or the United States for the mutual enforcement of court judgements.
