Protection of Trademarks

Protection of trademarks is governed by the Civil Code, Law on “Trade Names”, dated 18 September 2006, and Law on “Trademarks, service marks, and appellations of origin” dated 30 August 2001. Protection of trademark (service mark) and the right thereof is provided on the grounds of its registration.

Besides, it should be noted that Uzbekistan has signed the following WIPO agreements on intellectual property protection:
