- The Law on Radiation Safety No. 120-II as of August 31, 2000;

Regulates relations with regards of ensuring radiation safety, protection of life, health and property of citizens, as well as environment from harmful effect of ionizing radiation. The Radiation Safety Law provides that the Cabinet Of Minister shall be main regulative state body in the sphere of radiation safety, while the Inspection for safety in Mining and Industry, the Ministry of Health, the State Committee of Environmental Safety and the State Customs Committee shall ensure state control in the sphere of radiation safety.
