Agency – English and Uzbek law

1. General

There are numerous resemblances in relation to agency matters between Uzbek and English law. The agency finds its legal foundation in the Civil Code of Republic of Uzbekistan (“Civil Code”), which lays general principles and mechanisms of authority transfer from one entity (Principal) to another (Agent) to represent Principal before a third entity (Third Party).

A number of references to English law cases and acts in order to bring parallels between Uzbek and English laws in relation to agency issues to provide a clearer comparison picture.
