The Civil Code and The Contracts Law do not specifically regulate the concept of indemnity in Uzbekistan.
The general rule under chapter 57 of the Civil Code is that damages caused by unlawful actions (failure to act) with respect to the personality or property of an individual or a legal entity must be compensated in full by the guilty party, including all lost profits. Herewith the parties to the contract are allowed to mutually agree on indemnifying each other from all possible damages related to their commercial activities.
