Permissible payments and settlements in foreign currency

Law “Of Foreign Currency Control” No. 556-II dated December 11, 2003 impose restrictions on making payments in foreign currency within the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Any payments and settlements shall be carried out in the national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan except for the cases set below.

Payments and settlements in foreign currency in the Republic of Uzbekistan shall be permissible in the following cases:

(a) receipt and repayment of credit as per the procedure provided by Law;

(b) depositing cash into authorised banks...
