Employer’s liability insurance

The major laws that regulate insurance of employer’s liability are the Law on Insuring Employer’s Liability as of April 16, 2009 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No.177 as of April 16, 2009 On Measures of Realisation of the Law on Insuring Employer’s Liability.

As from October 16, 2009, all employers in Uzbekistan, regardless whether representative offices, joint ventures, foreign companies, etc., must purchase insurance to cover their liability towards employees in the following cases:

1) Death or damage to the health at the workplace; and

2) Professional disease...
