Uzbek legislation on labour force migration allows Uzbek companies to employ foreign citizens provided that all necessary work permits and confirmations are obtained and work visas are provided to such foreign employees. However the legislation on labour force migration does not apply to the following categories of foreign citizens who may work without obtaining of work permits/confirmations:

employees of diplomatic and consular offices;
founders and shareholders of operating joint ventures or those in process of registration, who came for the period not exceeding 3 months;
