Any foreign national who are employed by the local company, including directors and officers, must obtain a work permit prior to the actual employment. The timeline for obtaining of a work permit per each foreign individual is equal to one month period. Pursuant to the local employment law, the company must initiate this procedure by making flings with the local Migration Agency. Prior to applying for foreign nationals’ work permits, the company must first obtain a permit authorizing the company to hire foreign nationals. We will be happy to provide you with more detailed procedures on work permits and the general rules of employment of foreign nationals in Uzbekistan, if requested.
