Passporting

Passporting, may pose as rather hardly understandable novelty for foreign investors. Passporting means registration of equipment with Industrial Safety Agency (Agency) and issuance of so-called “safety passport” to each technical equipment, which is used at the hazardous facilities. The law contains the exact form of safety passport that must be filled and approved by safety inspectors. No alternatives are acceptable.

Law does not provide a specific list of equipment that needs passporting and in order to establish whether particular equipment needs passporting one must contact Agency and have their final opinion.
