Pledge under Uzbek law

The Uzbekistan Civil Code (the Civil Code) makes a distinction between moveable and immoveable property.  Land parcels, subsoil rights, water rights and everything firmly connected to land, (i.e., objects which cannot be removed without causing a disproportionate harm to their use such as forests, perennial plantings, buildings and structures) are categorized as immoveables.  

 

1.1 Items which are classified as moveables are equipment, machinery, money, commercial paper, securities and other intangibles (such as contract rights). Other than where it is specifically required by law, the registration of rights to moveable property is not necessary.
