Trade

Provided below is a brief outline on use of e-signatures as part of E-Trade law:

The Law on e-signature is the main legislative act that regulates the issues regarding application of electronic digital signature (e-signature) in the Republic of Uzbekistan and provides scope of authority of a Special authorized body, rules of registration and liquidation of centers for registration of e-signature keys (Registration center), rights and obligations of e-signature users and other specific issues of e-signature usage.

In cryptography, a public key certificate (or identity certificate) is an electronic document which incorporates an electronic signature to bind together a public key with an identity — information such as the name of a person or an organization, their address, and so forth. The certificate can be used to verify that a public key belongs to an individual. It is so-called “passport” of the e-signature.

Trade practice provides an overview of trade sector of Uzbekistan, mostly concentrating on E-trade regulations but also including applicable regulations, licensing procedures, templates of documents and agreements, forms of advises on related matters. Trade sector is closely tied and associated with Contract Law provisions and partly regulated by legislation in that sphere of law.
